Jay primarily acts for High Net Worth Individuals (“HNWI”) on both domestic and international divorce cases which involve substantial assets, including companies and off-shore assets held in trust; previous clients have included entrepreneurs, foreign nationals, non-domiciles, politicians and sports professionals.

In addition, Jay is an accredited member of the Law Society Family Law Panel and is a Resolution-approved mediator with the ability to provide mediation services in both English and Gujarati. A skilled Children Act practitioner, Jay has also worked on several child abduction cases as well as applications for leave to remove children permanently abroad.

Acted for celebrity hairdresser on the breakdown of his civil partnership and financial claims arising from his relationship in RCJ.

Acted for Ultra HNWI Husband within divorce and financial remedies claim with net asset worth of £120m including the value of his Oil Brokerage which was purchased by US private equity during the proceedings.

Acted for HNWI Wife with divorce and financial remedies proceedings with net assets of £50m including shareholding in a well-known company owning and operating largest UK nursing home group.
